VR scene of dinosaurs
Designed as an interactive, self-paced VR science lesson for primary school students, this project transforms a standard textbook curriculum into an immersive dinosaur diorama built using the CoSpaces platform, CoSpaces' native 3D modeling library, and Gemini AI. By utilizing CoSpaces for terrain texturing, weather particle effects, and hover-triggered audio roars, the experience bridges the gap between passive reading and active learning, allowing students to comprehend the true scale of the prehistoric creatures through three-dimensional spatial awareness. Gemini AI was leveraged during the development process to synthesize complex scientific data—such as historical eras and biological traits—into engaging, kid-friendly informational blurbs. While the developer successfully overcame early challenges regarding asset scaling and texture consistency across the diorama sections, future enhancements for the project include transitioning the static environment into a fully realized prehistoric park complete with advanced scripting for species interactions and upgraded text visuals.
